| JUNOON'S AZADI GOES 'PLATINUM' IN RECORD TIME
Junoon, the Sufi-pop group, who created quite a sensation and took the world by storm
with their album Azadi, and the song Sayonee in particular, have yet again created
another sensation. The mind-blowing sales of their album has helped it reach
Platinum status in record time in India. Not surprising really, since their
song Sayonee can be heard in every street and every corner, and is on the lips of every
child and adult. Junoon, which comprises the trio of Salman Ahmed, Ali Azmat and Brian O Conell, is inspired by late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and their album is dedicated to him. The group had performed in Mumbai, in March, at the Zee Cine Awards function, leaving the audiences asking for more. Milestone Entertainment, giving heed to the public demand, has plans to bring Junoon back to India for a full-fledged concert tour in the coming month. |
